There are two primary topical ways to exfoliate skin,
either with Alpha hydroxy acids (aha) or Beta hydroxy
acids (bha). There is only one bha and that is salicylic acid
but there are a variety of aha's, most common are glycolic
and lactic. These acids unglue the outer layer of dead skin
cells, allowing healthier cells to come to the surface.
Because aha and bha's work through chemical processes,
they can penetrate the skin and produce better results than
cosmetic scrubs, which work only on the exposed surface
of the skin.

The length of treatment is usually between 2 and 5

treatments is about 6 with 2 week intervals. It is
recommended that an additional treatment be scheduled
every 1 to 2 months, as continued use is required in order
to maintain skins smooth, even-toned, healthy appearance.

The day of your peel, do not scrub, shave or wax your
skin. If you are sunburned your peel will be postponed.
After your peel, do not use scrubs, wax, shave, use
retinoids or strong astringents for 24 hours. Sunscreen is
mandatory.
